SUMMARY:Chesapeake Dems Election Committee January No-Host Social
DESCRIPTION:The tide ran against us in Chesapeake for the past couple of decades.  No more.\n\nIn 2024 we put two of our people on City Council\, and one on School Board.  Sure\, we were disappointed/frustrated/upset/discouraged with the Presidential result.  But remember\, even though the 2024 Dem turnout in Chesapeake was “off”\, Chesapeake nonetheless went for Harris by 5\,000 votes.  2024 was the year when the tide finally turned in our favor.  Why is that?  It’s because of us.  It’s because we are organized.  It’s because of our effort and work.  I do not exaggerate when I tell you that right now\, today\, we are reclaiming the power structure in Chesapeake.\n\nLooking ahead\, 2025 will be a very good election for us; 2026 will be better yet.\n\n\n2025:  Governor\, Lieutenant Governor\, Attorney General\, entire House of Delegates\, and four local “Constitutional” Offices — Sheriff\, Commonwealth Attorney\, Treasurer\, Commissioner of the Revenue.  We have winning candidates teed up for nearly all of these offices.\n2026:  At last we will win a majority on City Council.  Four Republican-held seats are on the ballot (in addition to one of our three Dem-held seats).  Many of us are already thinking and talking about our 2026 City Council candidates.\n\n\nWant to hear more?  Do you simply like to hang out with fellow Dems?  Want pizza and a beer?  Join us at the Election Committee’s No-Host Social at 6pm on Monday\, January 13\, at Chesapeake Pizza\, 424 S.
